- Product Information
- Ubiquinol is produced naturally in the body, converted from the vitamin-like compound, CoQ10. This substance is found in every cell in the body, with the heart comprising the highest concentrations, and plays a key role in energy production. Many people now consider ubiquinol an advance on the more widely used ubiquinone form of CoQ10 traditionally included in supplements. To find out the difference between ubiquinol, ubiquinone and CoQ10 click here.
Since the body's ability to naturally produce CoQ10 and convert to ubiquinol declines as we get older, taking a supplement is an excellent choice for the over 50s and those on cholesterol-lowering medication which are known to deplete natural stores of CoQ10. Ubiquinol is also great for people with digestive issues or specific health concerns wanting to ensure maximum absorption.
While ubiquinol is present in almost everything we eat, to consume the suggested 100mg a day you would have to eat the equivalent of 120 cans of sardines or 60 avocados a day! – or take just one Ubiquinol 100mg capsule.
Our high-strength, one-a-day formula contains 100mg of body-ready ubiquinol, the equivalent to 280mg of CoQ10. Naturally produced by yeast fermentation for the best quality. Evidence suggests the body absorbs ubiquinol best when dissolved in quality vegetable oil. We've suspended our formula in sunflower seed oil, encapsulated in soft-gel capsules " not tablets " to support maximum absorption and preserve freshness.
Our ubiquinol and CoQ10 products are made in UK factories working to rigorous Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to meet our quality standards.
This product isn't suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
At Nature's Best, we want to help our customers choose the best CoQ10 formula to suit their needs. If you're unsure about what to pick, please get in touch with one of our expert Nutrition Advisors.

Frequently Asked Questions (5)
Q - "Can I Take Coq10 Alongside Statins?"
A - Yes, cholesterol lowering treatments are known to deplete CoQ10 in the body, so health care practitioners often recommend taking CoQ10 supplements.
Q - "Why Are Some Of Your Coq10 Products Veggie And Some Not?"
A - All of our CoQ10 products are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, with the exception of CoQ10 100mg. We are reviewing the materials used to make our CoQ10 100mg capsules, with the intention to offer a veggie/vegan solution very soon.
Q - "What Is The Difference Between Ubiquinol And Coq10?"
A - There are two forms of CoQ10: Ubiquinone (CoQ10) and Ubiquinol (‘active’ CoQ10). Both forms of CoQ10 are naturally present in the body. However, our body needs to convert CoQ10 (ubiquinone) into ubiquinol before it can be used to create energy, and this process becomes less efficient as we age. Read more here.
Q - "What Is The Source Of Coq10?"
A - CoQ10 can be created in 2 ways: the synthetic (chemical method) or the fermentation method (using microbes). Our CoQ10 is created using the fermentation method, making it naturally sourced and the highest quality available.
Q - "How Much Ubiquinol 100Mg Should I Take?"
A - Take 1 capsule daily with a meal. Do not exceed recommended daily dose.

"There Can Be Side Effects"

I’m over 50 and gluten, dairy intolerant, with a pepper allergy. I thought these would be a great asset to increase energy. I manage my wholesome, fresh home cooked diet meticulously.
I suddenly had dizziness, nausea, a loss of appetite and diarrhoea. The only outsider was CoQ10. Upon research this is a possible not common side effect. Just wanted to post it in case anyone needs a reference. It’s listed as a ‘mild’ side effect, it wasn’t mild for me.
As soon as you stop taking, it goes after a days lag.
I think this should be listed on the allergy tab for the product.
