    Responsible sourcing
Our Fish Oil 1300mg capsules have achieved certification by the leading, industry-recognised body, Friend of the Sea®. Read more about our association with Friend of the Sea® here.

Fish Oil 1300mg is in capsule form, not tablets, since oil-based materials lend themselves better to a soft-gel casing. We have also added sweet orange oil to help mitigate any fishy after-taste.

"Too expensive."

FAR TOO EXPENSIVE IN THE PRESENT ECONOMIC CLIMATE.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Warming of surface sea temperatures occurs every few years and during 2023 this had a strong effect on marine life, with adult fish moving away from normal fishing areas. Oil yields were very low, meaning the fish were lean rather than fat, resulting in less DHA and EPA being produced. Coupled with this was the suspension of the fishing season days after it opened, the objective being to protect the high number of juvenile fish and by doing so, preserve the sustainability of the fishery resource. Lack of supply has led to rising costs. It’s why we commit to responsibly sourced fish for all our Omega 3 Fish Oil supplements and the Friends of the Sea® accreditation assures customers that the fisheries operating in our supply chain do so ethically.

These changes to fishing mean we’ve seen prices rocket as demand outstrips supply. Although we’ve done all we can to absorb costs, we have had to review our fish oil supplements and make some adjustments to prices.

"I wanted a strong fish oil"
By Pat Cain , 18 Sep 2024

I use this product because I have severe osteo****sis after serious recent illness and a good quality fish oil is recommended. The capsules are too big for me to swallow so I have to chew them and discard the gel capsule. I don’t eat much fish so I take 3 capsules per day. I
Also want to protect my heart. Going forward if you have a strong fish oil product in a smaller capsule, I would be interested.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm pleased to hear you are finding this product useful and I'm sorry to hear you are finding the capsules too big. You are able to pierce the capsule and have the contents, if that’s more convenient for you. I have contacted you directly regarding this matter.

"Used These For Years."
By Jon , 13 Jun 2024

I have been taken these for years for knee pain, I know it’s just fish oil but I don’t eat fish at all. Within days of running out my knee pain returns and once back on them it disappears, as such I normally buy in bulk. Ran out a few days ago and today my knee pain (a dull throb) returned, came on to purchase some more and shocked at the price increase, it’s more than doubled, was £28 for 120 tables and today £30 for 60. Shame as they really work for me, I will order one tub while I start the search for a new supplier.
