Chutneys are easy to make and go brilliantly with cheeses and cold meats. They make fantastic presents and the flavours improve with age!
Ingredients
750g apples, peeled, cored and chopped
500g Dried Cranberries
250g Crystallised Ginger, finely chopped
100g sugar
500ml vinegar
Method
Add all ingredients to a pan. Bring to a gentle boil then simmer gently until fruit is soft and liquid has almost disappeared. Meanwhile wash your jars with hot water and place upside down in a warm oven to sterilise. Once chutney is cooked, fill jars and seal. Leave to mellow.
