Getting the balance between activity and rest is a great first step but must be supported by a healthy diet. All too often modern day diets leave you low in essential vitamins, minerals and Omega 3 fats that can make you feel weary and under par.
Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit together with regular protein (preferably low fat meats, fish or vegetarian alternatives) and carbohydrates such as pasta, potatoes and rice for a steady energy supply. It is also important to eat small regular meals to help maintain constant blood sugar levels.
Of course knowing the facts doesnt necessarily make it possible to follow a perfect diet so supplementation might provide an answer as the wide range of nutritional supplements available means you can create a regime tailored to you and your lifestyle. If you feel unsure where to start and would like free, confidential and personal advice why not e-mail or phone our Nutrition Advice team?
