Since vitamin D deficiencies are implicated in several health concerns, the Government has identified five at-risk groups, for whom they recommend taking at least 400iu vitamin D3 daily.

Although we include 400iu vitamin D3 in most of our multivitamins, our Nutrition Advisors agree that a high-strength Vitamin D3 1000iu supplement remains a safe and effective insurance policy to safeguard health, especially for those who get very little sun exposure and the over 65s.

Our Vitamin D3 1000iu capsules provide vitamin D in the preferred, highly-bioavailable form of 'D3'. We've chosen to suspend our vitamin D3 in sunflower seed oil to aid absorption. Capsules are better suited to oil-based materials, which is why we've decided to use them over tablets.

Unlike many other companies, we manufacture and package our high-performance Vitamin D3 1000iu in UK factories working to strict to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) to ensure our quality standards are always met.

Since we use gelatine in our formula, this product isn't suitable for vegetarians or vegans. If you're looking for a plant-based alternative, we recommend our Vegan Vitamin D3.

Sourced from the lanolin content of wool, the material undergoes further processing to ensure an extremely pure and crystalline pre-vitamin D3 material. EXPERT NUTRITION TEAM

Did you know that once a patch of skin produces vitamin D that area stops producing for the rest of the day? For those who do not tend to have their skin exposed to the sun frequently in the summer months, vitamin D supplements can be a fantastic addition to help make up for this limited vitamin D production.
